- Brush and floss before wearing the appliance.
- Use your fingers to place the appliance over your teeth.
Do not bite until it is properly in place. - Do not eat while your appliance is in place.
- Clean your appliance after use using your toothbrush and water. NO TOOTHPASTE.
- The appliance may also be cleaned 1 x week by placing it in denture cleaners such as Efferdent or Polident.
- Bring your appliances with you to your routine cleaning appointments.

Note: There is a small risk of bite changes as the appliance allows your muscles to relax.
This is usually transient in nature, but could require orthodontics or tooth re-contouring to establish equilibrium between your tooth position and jaw joint and muscles.
